Urban Splash

The national regeneration giant and eco friendly developers with an eye for unusual and challenging properties are the current owners of the Bridewell island site and have worked in partnership with the Artspace Project to develop and realise the Island project.

MyPlace Bristol

The Station, a state of the arts youth facility coming to The Island to take over the fire station section of the site towards the end of 2010. Myplace are already based on the site and we are excited about the opportunities this will bring for the future to have a much needed resource permanently established in the city centre.

Urban Creation

Owners of The Pro Cathedral who in partrnership with Artspace made The Revelations Urban Artspace Festival happen on the site in 2007 and have recently allowed a Bicycle recycling project to be housed in the space until work begins in 2010.

The Invisible Circus

The performance wing of the Artspace Project and founding force of the Artspace Lifespace co-op. The Circus has worked in partnership to bring a series of high profile venues and events to life. With a reputation for putting together dynamic and ground breaking site specific circus theatre spectaculars the Circus take on much of the physical work to get the sites back up to standard in return for the use of spaces for production and performance purposes.

Bristol City Council

Bristol City Council has been an ongoing supporter of the Artspace Initiative and have provided some funding for regeneration of sites as well as spaces to house different projects in. Ruth Essex and the arts and festivals dept of BCC fully endorse the project and provide ongoing advice and support as well as new spaces.

Steal From Work

A 3 strong artist run co-operative who produce and curate contemporary art exhibitions. Created in 2007, with the sole aim of putting a much needed fresh injection of life into Bristol’s art scene. Notably producing the hugely popular; 12 Days of Xmas and Not A Penny Off The Pay groups shows as well as jointly curating Crimes of Passion: Street Art in Bristol at the Royal West of England Academy.
